How to make a White Russian

Well, there was never a doubt which drink was going to win the "first post" award.... after all its The Dude's favorite drink.

Fuck yeah man! Thats the shit!

So, for a brief history, the White Russian first appeared in 1949 and although it has nothing to do with Russia its so named because the primary ingredient is Vodka. The Black Russian and the White Russian are siblings, the only difference being the addition of cream giving the White Russian its white color. So here goes its recipe.

On the house ;)
Ingredients Required:
  • 30ml (1oz) of Vodka.
  • 15ml (1/2oz) of Kahlua.
  • 30ml (1oz) Milk or Cream
  • Any friggin glass should do, but fetch that cocktail glass if you feel fancy enough.
  • Lots of Ice cubes.
  • Cherry for a fancy garnish (optional).

Steps:
  • Top off the glass with ice, or, if you have a large glass, till its enough to cover your drink.
  • Pour in the Vodka.
  • Next pour in the Kahlua, some people prefer stirring it at this point, but its not necessary. A choice purely based on personal preference. Go ahead and make yourself two of em, even if its just to decide your taste preferences. (Hell, go ahead and make a third, send it down to ask you stomach which one it preferred ;) ).
  • Now top this deliciously evil looking drink with some love, either milk or cream. (There, now you can make a few more 'test rounds' to decide if you prefer milk or cream, although by now all pretense of a noble purpose should be lost).
  • Finally strategically place the fancy cherry you got, and you are all ready to gulp down the bugger.
